Though sleeve cases might or might not continue to be of interest to iPad owners going forward, SwitchEasy's new Trig ($40) scores a couple of points for originality: it allows you to convert a puffy sleeve for the iPad into a dual-angled video stand for on-the-go viewing. The soft-lined case has metal snaps that should be avoided on insertion and removal, enabling it to stay safely closed during carrying; you need to pull the iPad and flip the segmented design around to transform it for horizontal or video viewing purposes. Available in six colors, two of which have high vinyl gloss relative to the other faux leather four, Trig also includes a glossy screen protector, a cleaning cloth, and applicator card.
