Review: Targus Versavu Rotating Case & Stand for iPad (3rd-Gen)
Targus's 360° Rotating Stand & Case was one of the first cases we received for the iPad 2, and since then its style has been carried over to subsequent Targus products, as well as rebadged cases from other companies. Now updated for the third-generation iPad, the Versavu Case & Stand ($60) serves as a modest update to the folio-style case. It features the same faux leather shell as the first version, with slightly exposed top and bottom edges and a gaping hole leaving the Apple logo unprotected, and an almost identical cover that can support the tablet in three landscape or portrait orientations.
The only real difference this time around is the addition of an elastic stylus holder on the front of the lid and magnetic lock/unlock feature, which are nice but don’t add significant value. There’s nothing about this newer version that justifies a full re-review or change in rating; it’s still worthy of the same limited recommendation as its predecessor.
