It took only one look at a photo of Vaja's new Messenger Bag for iPad ($280) to set our tongues wagging: this is one of the nicest-looking iPad bags we've yet seen. Made from fine, soft leather, the vertical bag features a soft plaid fabric inner compartment large enough for an iPad and some other items -- together, not separated, save for an open pocket inside -- all covered by a magnet-sealed top flap. There are three outer pockets: two are sealed with magnetic clasps and feature half-leather and half-plaid linings, while the other is a YKK-zippered plaid fabric compartment. All but one of the pockets is large enough for a full iPad power supply and cable, while the smallest pocket is right-sized for earbuds and/or a USB cable. This particular Vaja creation is shown in promotional images in a jet black color scheme, but is currently available only in a "brownie and birch" two-tone brown with light blue accents. The shoulder strap is made from a durable fabric with metal O- and adjustment rings.
