Everthine is bringing its A1 desktop AI companion to IFA 2026 for the product’s European debut. The device is being demonstrated at the show ahead of separate software and hardware releases planned for later this year.
The centerpiece is an 8.01-inch curved OLED display that renders a real-time 3D character. Facial expressions, gestures, voice and touch responses give the character several ways to react during a conversation. Users can rotate the character to view it from different angles, while the curved panel helps preserve a sense of visual depth.

Everthine has built the experience around continuity. A1’s long-term memory can retain people, facts and discussions across sessions, according to the company. It can recognize previously seen faces and pets, recall their names and connect new exchanges with earlier context. Its personality develops gradually from the history formed with each user.

The dedicated hardware includes front and rear cameras, a six-microphone array with source localization, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 10W speaker. A physical camera shutter and hardware microphone switch provide direct control over the sensors. Everthine says conversations receive end-to-end encryption during transmission and storage, and conversation data will never be used for AI model training. Users can delete memories, characters and full account data.
A companion app for iOS and Android will offer text, voice and video interaction. With account binding, the same character can remain available across devices, and users can run different characters on separate devices at the same time. The software is scheduled to arrive before the A1 hardware. Final pricing and exact release dates remain open.
At launch, A1’s proactive behavior will begin with simple greetings when a user starts a conversation. Everthine lists context-aware check-ins, deeper character creation, more scenes and outfits, scenario modes and mini-games among the features planned for later updates. The A1 is intended for users aged 18 and above. The interface will display a persistent notice when content is AI-generated, while sexual interactions are not supported. In situations involving potentially dangerous or crisis-related language, the system may provide information for contacting emergency services.
Taken together, these features show that Everthine is positioning the A1 as more than a conventional voice assistant. The product is built around the idea of a persistent digital character that can remember past interactions and develop over time. Whether that approach offers a meaningful advantage over existing AI assistants, however, will depend on how useful and natural those long-term interactions prove to be in everyday use.
