This level of preparation doesn’t happen automatically or by accident. It requires someone – usually at a senior level – to keep the post-launch state in view throughout the entire production process and make decisions that might slow down development today in order to make live operations genuinely sustainable tomorrow. The products that endure – the ones that find global audiences and hold them over time – are almost never the ones that shipped fastest. They’re the ones where every phase was taken seriously, where the work of understanding users happened before the work of building for them, and where launch was planned as a beginning rather than an end. That approach is harder to maintain under commercial pressure than it sounds. It’s also the only one that consistently works.
