How to Make Room for New Household Tech

Looking to modernize your new Springleaf Residence condo, but don’t have enough space for them? It’s definitely possible to do so and declutter along the way. Here are five tips you can follow to turn your home into a smart one.

Is the Device Unused and Gathering Dust?

Take a look at your pile of gadgets or appliances one by one and make an assessment. Ask yourself, will you still need it, or is it simply gathering dust? Put them in a separate pile so you can think of what you can do with them.

How to Make Room for New Household Tech

Repurpose If Possible

After sorting, you can look at the gadgets and see if they can be repurposed. For instance, an old smartphone or tablet can be turned into a dedicated CCTV viewer or perhaps an entertainment screen loaded with streaming apps. In addition, you can turn an old and slow laptop into a retro arcade machine or for study/research purposes.

Sell Online or Donate

You can breathe new life into old gadgets by donating them or selling them online. If you have a friend or a relative who can use it, great. Otherwise, you can post it up for sale on social media marketplaces and platforms.

Start with an Upgrade That Offers the Best Value

As you go through your stuff, you’ll have an idea of which tech upgrade makes the most sense. If it gives you a new level of convenience or saves you money, then it should be prioritized and placed at the top of your ‘must invest’ list.

Replace Outdated Tech

It would be a good idea to replace outdated tech, or devices and appliances from more than ten years ago. Newer devices not only have better features, but they also have increased energy efficiency and can save you on energy bills in the long run.
