Q: Will I be able to use Handbrake with the new iPhone to convert DVD movies to MP4 and bring them into iTunes? I’m trying to decide if I should get the new iPhone or keep my old one.

A: Absolutely.
There have been virtually no changes to the video formats and capabilities on the new iPhone 3G, and in fact it basically runs the same v2.0 iPhone firmware that is available for your existing iPhone.
Any movies you have previously converted should continue to work without any problems, and you can continue to convert DVDs using Handbrake in the same way that you have in the past.
