Q: How do I transfer music from my iPod touch that was from a PC to a Mac?

– Sabrina

A: The good news is that unlike traditional iPod models, iOS devices such as the iPod touch do not use a computer-specific format as they do not support any kind of “Disk Mode.” This means that it doesn’t matter whether the iPod was loaded on a Mac or a Windows PC.

The downside of this, however, is that you can’t just copy content off the device right back to your computer using Windows Explorer or the Mac Finder; instead you’ll have to rely on a third-party utility such as TouchCopy or Music Rescue.
