iHome introduced a number of new products at CES — the company is going in a new and exciting direction, introducing new speakers that don’t look like anything it has done in the past. The company is also giving its products more memorable names now, as opposed to the traditional letter-number combos. Most of iHome’s new products will be hitting the market in the second quarter.
iHome’s Kineta iKN105 ($100) is a Bluetooth clock radio with a removable 2600 mAh battery pack.
The pack charges while in the speaker for use on the go, then can be plugged back into the speaker to recharge.
iKN150 ($150) is another Kineta Bluetooth speaker with a removable battery pack. iHome plans on selling the 1A-speed K-CELL battery packs for $25.
Sound Flask ($50-100) is, yes, a flask-shaped speaker that comes in two different sizes. The larger flask is a four-speaker system, while the smaller flask contains two speakers.
X1 Noti-fi ($200) is a handsome Bluetooth speaker with seven speakers and an integrated handle. The “X” in the middle of the speaker can be used for visual notifications from other devices, such as when a user receives a text message.
X2 Noti-Fi ($100) is a smaller, six-speaker version of the same speaker.
Split ($100) is a Bluetooth speaker that can split in two — once split, it can play the same track using stereo separation, or two people can listen to separate audio tracks on both smaller speakers. The speaker uses a charging cradle to recharge, and iHome claims Split can play for up to 8 hours.
iHome is introducing a color-changing line of speakers and headphones called Phaze — the iBT29 Phaze ($60) Bluetooth alarm clock speaker can match the color of sky throughout the day while in “sky mode.”
The iBT74 Phaze ($50) is a color-changing Bluetooth speaker with a unique shape.
iHome’s SmartPlug ($40) is a Wi-Fi enabled wall plug that works with Apple’s HomeKit. It can use Siri for voice-activated control. A version with a USB charging port ($50) will also be released.
Big Fat Snooze Bar ($30) is a colorful alarm clock aimed at younger customers.
