Outdoor Technology’s Armadillo ($230), pictured here in front of the company’s existing Turtle Shell, is a larger version of that speaker. A Bluetooth 4- and Airplay-compatible speaker, the rugged Armadillo can also daisy chain to other devices. The portable, water-resistant, shock-proof speaker is expected later this year.

CHIPS ($130) is a Bluetooth headset that can drop into a bike helmet’s liner. A push-button system allows riders to listen to music and make calls without taking the helmet off. It’s expected to launch in the fall.
