Known for its speaker systems, Pure used the 2013 CES to introduce Jongo, a line of multi-room wireless speakers. The colorful Jongo line can stream using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
Pure’s Jongo T640B ($329) — pictured left, and Jongo S340B ($229) are wireless Bluetooth speakers that can be used as standalone speakers, or as part of a multi-room audio system. Jongo T640B is a 100-watt speaker with two 5.25″ full-range drivers. It can be used horizontally or vertically. Jongo S340B is a smaller, portable 20-watt speaker, with a rechargeable battery that offers up to 10 hours of listening time. Bluetooth or Wi-Fi can be used to stream audio to one Jongo S340B, while Wi-Fi can be used to stream to multiple units. The free Pure Connect app can be used for music control. Finally, the Jongo A140B ($119) wireless hi-fi adapter can connect a hi-fi device to the Jongo multiroom system. The Jongo T640B is expected by March or April, with the S340B and A140B expected this year, as well.
