    The Joy Factory

By Jeremy HorwitzMay 14, 2021 5:12 pm UTC

Relatively recent to the Apple accessory market but atypically ambitious, The Joy Factory makes everything from device-specific stands to charging solutions, styluses and cases. This year, the company is showing a series of new waterproof and shockproof aXtion Pro cases for the iPhone 5 ($79), iPad mini ($99), and iPad ($159), each custom-fit to the specific device and certified IP68/MIL-STD-810 against submersion and military-grade drop hazards. The iPad versions both float; the iPhone version can be attached to an optional floating accessory. It’s also showing aXtion Go cases at lower prices, a new Carbon Fiber speaker, a wheelchair mount for iPads and iPad minis, and battery cases for the iPhone 5.

This wheelchair mount for the iPad mini ($170) or iPad ($180) is designed to be incredibly sturdy and resilient, thanks to the use of carbon fiber piping and screw-tightened joints. Joy Factory offers a three-year warranty, and free customization of the mount for the particular user’s needs.

aXtion Go ($50 iPhone 5, $70 iPad mini) is a water-resistant iPad case with a very cool geometric rear design.

New Ergos ($80) and Ergos with Stand ($90) cases for the iPhone 5 feature integrated 2100mAh batteries; the Stand forms a frame around the iPhone 5 and pops out for FaceTime and other uses.

    The Joy Factory
Oracle ($70) is a small single-driver Bluetooth speaker with plenty of horsepower and decent audio quality, distinguished by its metal and carbon fiber tube body.
