Maker of the CableCore Hub, a USB hub built to integrate with the iMac, iCoreGear also showed a tubular speaker called StereoCore, and an OEM-like iPad Air case called CoverCore. StereoCore sells for $119, with an 1850mAh battery inside that powers the twin speakers while serving as a USB backup battery for devices.
CableCore Hub’s boxy foot-of-iMac design is meant to eliminate the need to connect devices to the back of the iMac. Three USB 3 ports — complete with high-speed charging for each port — link into a single USB port on the iMac, with extra power from a wall adapter.
There’s also an SD card slot on the right side, and a headphone port that interestingly connects to the Mac via Bluetooth 4.
