Larger than ever before, the iLounge Pavilion at the 2014 CES is currently being set up in preparation for next Tuesday’s official opening. While new products will be the real stars of the show when it opens Tuesday morning, it’s fun to see various companies’ backdrops as they come together. These shots show off just tiny bits of the gigantic Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall—home to half of the iLounge Pavilion. We’ll have much more to share over the next several days.
Acquired last year by OtterBox, LifeProof still has its own (nearby) booth space under construction. Last year’s LifeProof area won our Best of Show Award for booth design, compellingly demonstrating the wide array of conditions the company’s cases were capable of withstanding.
Like everything else within North Hall, the Sonix and NuCourse booths are in the very easy stages of construction here, as everything from walls to display cases to carpeting have yet to be completed for most companies.
Soundfreaq, winner of a 2013 Best of Show Award for its Sound Platform 2 speaker, has assembled the stage for a collection of new speaker debuts at the 2014 CES.
Battery and battery case maker Mophie has built a very Apple-like large black booth to show off its latest products. We’re anxious to see it make some real announcements this year, after it stayed quiet during an avalanche of early iPhone 5 battery cases from other companies.
The North Hall is dominated by larger booths this year — 2013 vendors very commonly chose to upgrade their spaces to bigger sizes — but small and mid-sized booths are coming together nicely, as well.
Scosche’s booth, always the setting for numerous new product debuts across audio, fitness, and automotive accessory categories, is coming together nicely.
