It’s no secret by now that we’re big fans of Anki’s Cozmo, the adorable little robot that’s rolled his way into our hearts, and when it comes to interactive educational toys, Cozmo still has a wheel up on its younger sibling, Vector, with a more accessible set of tools that provide a great way for kids to learn the basics of coding. Now, Anki is taking this a step further with a new printed, hardcover book, Create with Cozmo, that will help younger kids get a start on learning to code projects for their robotic sidekick.
“Create with Cozmo” is a 95-page book that introduces basic coding concepts to let users customize their own games and projects, greatly expanding the Cozmo experience. It’s broken down into three levels to allow kids to move at their own pace through it, beginning with eight cool projects that cover the basics of coding, and working up to complex projects with advanced computational concepts. While the book is certainly not necessary for learning to play with or code with Cozmo, it’s a great way to help inspire kids, with an engaging presentation, and step-by-step instructions. If you’re considering Cozmo as a Christmas gift for your kids this year, we’d definitely recommend picking up this book to go along with it, and it also makes a great stocking stuffer even if you already have a Cozmo in your life.
