Belkin’s new USB-C Car Charger takes the traditional car charger up a notch by adding USB-PD Fast Charging capabilities for iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X users. The minimalist car charger features a USB-C port that you can connect a standard Apple USB-C to Lightning cable to to juice up your iPhone at the fastest speeds possible.
it’s a great solution if you’re a busy iPhone user who is always hopping in and out of you car to ensure that you reach your meetings with your iPhone topped up and ready to go.
Sadly, you’ll need to supply your own USB-C to Lightning cable, however, as Belkin’s adapter comes by itself. However, it’s also worth noting that the USB-C Car Charger packs 36 watts of power so there’s enough here to charge Apple’s newer MacBooks as well.
Belkin also has a $45 version of the USB-C Car Charger coming soon that will include a USB-C to USB-C cable, although the latter version only packs 27 watts of power — still more than enough to Fast Charge an iPhone, but a bit short of what you’ll need to charge even a standard 12-inch MacBook at full speed.
