Booq’s latest bag is the black Boa saddle ($195), a briefcase-style leather-accented laptop bag that can accommodate up to a 15” MacBook Pro. Boa saddle’s ballistic nylon exterior comes with water-resistant coating to ensure the bag stands up to the elements. The adjustable nylon shoulder strap (with shoulder pad) is reminiscent of a seatbelt, and an extra strap on the back of the bag makes it luggage-friendly. Boa saddle comes with Booq’s Terralinq feature, which makes it easier for someone to return your lost bag by contacting Booq.
Booq has packed a surprising amount of interior space into a bag with a relatively small 16.5” x 12.2” x 5.9” footprint. The main compartment includes water-resistant lining, a number of large slots, and two large separate pouches — we found we could fit a 13” MacBook Air and iPad Air into those pouches if need be, though the actual padded compartment for a laptop is found near the back side of the bag. There are also extra compartments on both sides of the bag, and the YKK zippers should ensure you won’t be fumbling with Boa saddle as you’re using it. Though it may be a bit pricey for some, Booq’s newest is a cleverly designed bag bolstered by high-quality materials.
