Saddle Pro ($295) is a new expandable laptop brief from one of our favorite bag companies, Booq. The company says Saddle Pro was “designed in collaboration” with some of Booq’s “most demanding customers.” It’s recommended for 13”-15” MacBooks, and our 13” MacBook Air fit comfortably. Saddle Pro’s exterior is mostly ballistic nylon with a water-repellent coating, though the zipper pullers and handles are coated with genuine leather. An optional shoulder strap and a small travel bag are included with Saddle Pro. The bag weighs 3.8 pounds on its own. Like all Booq bags, Saddle Pro comes with the company’s Terralinq service to aid in the return of lost-and-found bags.
Saddle Pro is another great bag from Booq. It’s durable and offers plenty of storage for a number of devices, cords, and accessories, in addition to a MacBook. That storage can be increased an extra gallon by using the expandable zipper. Two easy-to-access, drop-in, non-zippered pockets will fit any sized iPhone, including an iPhone 6/6s Plus. A strap on the back of the bag enables it to work with most luggage trolley handles. There’s not much more to demand from Saddle Pro, and there’s little doubt it’ll be a great workhorse bag for a long time, for those willing to spend nearly $300.
