Booq’s new Shadow messenger bag is made to fit MacBooks from 12” to 15”. The bag comes in two variations — a black nylon bag or a gray fiber bag. We received the black nylon bag, and it happens to be a light ballistic nylon with water-repellent coating. As always, Booq’s Terralinq lost-and-found service comes with the bag.
The bag offers a main pocket for a MacBook and something else — an iPad Air fits comfortably, if you want to stick an iPad there. Another side pocket on the front of the bag is somewhat hidden, and it can easily store cables, a wallet, or any iPhone. There’s another large pocket on the back of the bag, as well. While we’d prefer more secure clasps on the bag’s big flap — Shadow uses a pair of plastic hooks — that’s a minor qualm. This is a useful, lightweight messenger bag which is more affordable than many of Booq’s other options.
