Hex’s new Radar collection features a water-resistant rip-stop exterior fabric, and we’ve received both the Radar Convertible Backpack ($100) and Radar Laptop Briefcase ($110). While we’ve seen these form factors from Hex before — the Convertible Backpack and Laptop Briefcase — the navy Radar look is both handsome and rugged. Both products feature black coated canvas trim and genuine zipper pulls. Both items also allow for different carrying orientations: the backpack’s straps can be hidden under a back panel, for the bag to be carried by its top handles, and the briefcase can convert into a small backpack with its hidden-away straps.
Convertible Backpack can hold up to a 17” MacBook Pro in its padded laptop pocket. The main compartment has plenty of room for other items, including pens, cables, and it can even easily accommodate a 12.9” iPad Pro. A front pocket adds more storage, as well. Laptop Briefcase is built to hold up to a 15” MacBook Pro. Again, a large iPad Pro can fit inside, too. Plenty of other pockets make it easy to transport an iPhone and any cables you’re hauling along. There are plenty of options from Hex if you’re a fan of these form factors, but Radar’s exterior fabric is one of our personal favorites.
