Just Mobile’s latest “Alu” product, AluCharge ($50), is a multi-port USB charger. The aluminum-bodied charger has four USB ports, with 2.4A max charging per port, and a total max output of 6.2A. Though AluCharge looks like a battery — and is about the size of a battery — the svelte accessory is actually a plug-in charger for home and travel.
AluCharge is about 3.98” x 2.87” and just 0.74” thick, with its four USB charging ports all facing the same direction. Its mostly aluminum unibody construction is a definite upgrade in build and look when compared to many competing multi-port chargers, which are often plastic. You won’t hesitate to leave this plugged in as a charging hub in your home, and its size makes it a convenient travel companion, as well. Just Mobile is currently taking preorders for AluCharge, which the company claims will ship in “early December” — it should launch any day now.
