Mophie Juice Pack Air for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

Mophie’s Juice Pack Air ($100) has arrived for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The wireless charging case can fully recharge an iPhone 7, while the iPhone 7 Plus case can recharge the larger iPhone back up to 60 percent battery. A matte slider-style case, Juice Pack Air’s Lightning connector plugs into the iPhone, while the case can be recharged using a micro-USB port at the bottom, or one of Mophie’s Charge Force magnetic wireless charging accessories. Juice Pack Air comes in five colors — black, rose gold, gold, blue, and red. A micro-USB cord is included, but sadly there’s no headphone port of any kind, so you’ll be unable to use wired earphones without removing the case.
A power/battery life button is on the back of Juice Pack Air, which lets users control when the phone is recharging (and shows how much battery life is left in the case). Juice Pack Air offers button protection for the sleep/wake button and volume controls, and sound from the iPhone speakers is vented out toward the front of the case. Interestingly, the specs reveal the battery capacity is larger for the iPhone 7 case (2525 mAh) than the iPhone 7 Plus case (2420 mAh). Perhaps this was done to keep the iPhone 7 Plus case thinner and lighter. As with all battery cases, some bulk is added, but it certainly could have been worse. If you’re willing to fully invest into Mophie’s ecosystem, a number of magnetic mounts and charging docks are available for easy wireless charging.
