With all of Apple’s recent iPhones now supporting fast charging over USB-C, more companies are getting into the game of providing chargers that can juice up an iPhone at maximum speed, and Scosche joins the party with its PowerVolt 3.0 USB-C Fast Charger ($35) and PowerVolt 3.0 USB-C Charger for Cars ($25).
Not content just to provide USB-C charging, however, Scosche’s pair of PowerVolt 3.0 adapters also include a 12-watt USB-A port so you can also deliver double the standard power to a second device while also charging your iPhone at maximum speeds from the 18-watt USB-C PD port.
You’ll still need to add the appropriate USB-C to Lightning cable to take advantage of the full charging speeds, but the good news is that we’ll very soon be seeing new cables appearing from third-party MFi partners as well.
