Secur’s Four-in-One Car Charger was an iLounge Best of Show Finalist at this year’s CES, and the company has just released its Six-in-One Car Charger ($40) for the same price. Along with the USB-outlet car charger (which plugs into a car’s cigarette lighter), flashlight, and flashing emergency light found in the Four-in-One edition, the battery gets a bump up to 2000 mAh (or possibly even 2200 mAh, as Secur’s marketing is contradictory). The accessory also contains an emergency window breaker and emergency seat belt cutter, making it even more versatile.
Six-in-One Car Charger comes with a micro-USB cable.
We liked Secur’s Four-in-One Car Charger quite a bit, and the improvements seen in the Six-in-One Car Charger make it a fantastic accessory to keep in any vehicle. The car charger, battery, and high-powered flashlight make it useful to keep around, but the emergency features really put it over the top. An emergency window breaker is contained at the tip of the charger; pressing down reveals a sharp point.
A small blade is also found within the middle of the charger for seat belt cutting purposes. (Enough plastic surrounds the blade to protect stray fingers from getting cut.) We have only one complaint — you’re going to have to mess with the car charger’s lone button a bit to figure out exactly how to activate the battery, flashlight, and emergency light without fiddling too much. Overall, Six-in-One Car Charger has a number of features you’ll use — and a few others you’ll hopefully never have to try, but it’s good to know they’re there.
