Bears. Wi-Fi extenders. A natural pairing. And now, BearExtender has unleashed a brand new accessory that combines the two, if only in name. BearExtender 1200 ($50) is the company’s third iteration of its Wi-Fi range extender. Designed exclusively for Macs, it allows you stay on an 802.11b/g/n wireless network at two to three times the distance normally offered by your computer’s AirPort hardware.
The extender plugs in to an open USB port, and comes with two different antennas: one for distant networks, and other for nearby ones. Plug it in, scan for your desired networks using the free software, and you’re all set.
