Expensive by any means, CalypsoCrystal’s new CalypsoFlip ($299) is certainly more focused on fashion than pure functionality. Coming in six different interior colors, and four different sizes for the current MacBook Air and MacBook Pro lineups, it’s a handsome case designed to stay on the laptop rather than being removed.
Outside, each of the cases is covered in smooth, black leather, with Alcantara material on the inside. The Mac snaps into place, with a frame holding it secure on the bottom.
A lid can be used in one of two ways; it either magnetically attaches to the top, or goes underneath to prop the computer up at a slight angle. The price may be crazy, but at least shipping is free.
