Long an iLounge favorite for iOS, Frogmind’s Badland: Game of the Year Edition ($10) finally arrived on Mac last week. Originally released in 2013, the physics-based side-scroller has been updated with above full-HD visuals and totally reconfigured controls for the Mac.
The game provides about 15 hours of single-player action, flying your character through various traps, puzzles and obstacles across 100 levels. Up to 4 local players can also team up to tackle 100 multiplayer levels or go head-to-head in 27 battle levels. All four players can play from a single keyboard or with any combination of keyboard and controllers. The redesigned game’s graphics support Retina displays and Game Center leaderboards will guarantee you bragging rights for that high score. To run the game, you’ll need OS X 10.8 or later and a 64-bit processor.
