Mixed In Key Mashup

Watch out Girl Talk: aspiring artists just got a new tool to combine pieces of their favorite songs to become brand new ones, making it easier than ever to create awesome mashups. The title, appropriately enough, is Mashup ($39) from Mixed In Key. It’s designed to be incredibly simple to use, and the developer promises users can complete mashups in five minutes or less—assuming you have good source material.

The interface starts with a simple drag and drop of the songs you’d like to use from your hard drive or iTunes library. From there the software automatically analyzes the tracks and determines which ones are compatible; you can use up to 20 tracks per song. Then just play around with all the audio settings until you get just what you’re looking for. You can check out some examples of tracks built using the software here.
