Apple’s newest MacBook Pro has changed the connector game with its USB-C/TB3 ports, so if you’re planning on getting the new MacBook Pro and have a lot of peripherals to connect, OWC’s new Thunderbolt 3 Dock ($279) may be worth taking a look at. Providing a total of thirteen ports, it’s an elegant and versatile way to connect a wide variety of accessories such as external hard drives, webcams, audio interfaces, Ultra HD displays, wired network connection, and more, and can also supply power to the 2016 MacBook Pro at the same time.

Specifically, the new dock provides 40GB/s of bandwidth and two Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C ports which can daisy-chain and power up to five Thunderbolt 3 devices, five USB 3.1 ports, with two high-power USB ports for faster charging, and individual FireWire 800, Gigabit Ethernet, mini DisplayPort, and analog and S/PDIF digital audio ports. A built-in SD card reader also allows you to easily transfer photos and videos onto your MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, it’s not shipping until February, however you can preorder it now to be sure to get one as soon as they’re available.
