Macs can do some pretty exciting stuff, but sometimes all we need is something that helps ease more mundane, everyday tasks like grocery shopping. Purple Cover’s AnyList provides one of our favorite ways to keep and share a shopping list for use on the go, but sometimes keying it all in on an iPhone or even an iPad can start to get cumbersome, and that’s where the company’s new AnyList for Mac (free*) comes in.
The Mac version replicates much of the look and feel of its iOS counterpart, although it’s naturally optimized for the larger screen.
You’ll need to subscribe to the company’s AnyList Complete ($8-$12/year) service to use the Mac version, but once in you get the ability to manage all of your shopping lists and recipes with a full-sized keyboard and a larger screen.
It’s a much more useful way to setup your shopping lists, and everything syncs to your iPhone or iPad via the company’s cloud service. All of the latest iOS features are in here as well, including support for multiple stores within each list, improved list filtering, the ability to add photos to lists and recipes, and more.
