tgxmedia.com’s Wordify ($4) is just plain cool. The Mac App Store title serves one specific purpose: it turns a picture of your choice into “typographic artwork,” replacing dark spots in a photo with text you supply. The result is a vectorized PDF, ready in seconds.
Wordify uses a simple drag and drop interface. Once you’ve imported your image, you can paste your text—the default is Apple’s “Here’s to the Crazy Ones” ad—then you choose your font, word color, and size. There are also 45 templates included, if you’d rather play around with simple shapes such as stars, hearts, and smiley faces.
