If you’re among our regular readers, you probably know by now that we’re pretty big fans of Twelve South’s product lineup — their stands and cases are well-made and fit in so well with the Mac aesthetic that they could have been designed by Apple. However, we also like it when accessory makers allow a little bit of personality to show through, and this is the case with Twelve South’s latest offering: A free collection of stunning wallpapers from the company’s own hometown that are specifically designed to look great on a dual-monitor setup.
Twelve South’s new Charleston at Sea Level collection is actually the fifth collection the company has released since 2014, but is unique among these in that it features the company’s own hometown of Charleston, South Carolina, rather than the more popular tourist areas of prior collections.
This latest collection includes three wallpapers, all featuring waterside settings: Sunrise on Folly Beach, Charleston Harbor, and Waterfront Park, with settings intended to promote a calm and focused environment at your desk.
In creating the wallpapers, Twelve South partnered with local professional photographer, Kim Graham to capture the charm of South Carolina’s Lowcountry. Twelve South has even made multiple versions of each of the wallpapers available, perfectly sized for all recent iMac and MacBook models — both with and without Retina Displays — as well as the 24” Apple Display, so regardless of which Mac you use, you’ll be able to grab a version that looks great on your Mac desktop.
