Vimeo has released a free macOS app targeted at professional film makers and power users of the popular video sharing service. More than just a simple uploader, Vimeo for macOS also provides seamless integration with Final Cut Pro so you can export ProRes videos, manage uploads, and share videos right from within your post-production workflow.
In addition to ProRes, Vimeo supports exporting in a number of other advanced codecs from Final Cut Pro and uploading the results directly to Vimeo, all in one step. Users can edit the title, description, and privacy settings for each video, and get immediate access to links and embed codes so that you’re ready to share your published video right away.
The app also works as a notification center so you can stay on top of what’s going on with your videos.
