Zoomdoggle Buckyballs

Everybody needs that one thing at their desk to fiddle with during conference calls. Maybe it’s an action figure or even just a clicky pen; for at least a few of our editors it’s Twelve South’s Compass. If your workspace is devoid of just such a thing right now, you may want to check out Buckyballs from Zoomdoggle ($35-$38).

Think of Buckyballs as round building blocks. Each of the 216 spheres is a super strong rare earth magnet, so they attach to one another. Since they’re round the number of shapes and designs you can make is endless. Truly, a great way to distract yourself from actual work. The original finish is metal, while black nickel-, silver-, and gold-plated versions are available for a few dollars more.
