AppleInsider reports that the big-box store’s weekly ad for February 12-18 touts the 16GB iPad with Wi-Fi as being priced at only $429—a $70 discount off the typical retail price—and notes that “all iPads [are] on sale”. The promotion is being offered on a “while supplies last” basis, suggesting that the sale may be part of a move by the retailer to clear out inventory ahead of the new model’s arrival. Apple is expected to announce its next-generation iPad early next month.
