Urban Apps has released an update to Ambiance, its highly-acclaimed “environment enhancer” application adding recording capabilities. Ambiance allows the user to play back a variety of ambient sounds available from a catalog of over 1,000 sounds ranging from nature sounds to urban sounds and many more. Ambiance 3.2 allows users to record their own sounds directly from within the app and then listen to them like any other sound. Users can also upload their own recorded sounds to the Ambiance catalog to share them with the rest of the world. The new version also includes several other improvements including a new download progress bar, sound alerts for the “shake to change” feature and simplified sharing to additional social media services. Ambiance is available from the App Store for $3.
