Apple has officially announced details for its 29th Annual Worldwide Developers Conference, which will be held from June 4 – 8, 2018, once again at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. While this year’s announcement comes about a month late compared to WWDC 2017, registration has already opened today, two weeks earlier than last year. The opportunity to purchase tickets will once again be offered by random selection, and only those who are members of the Apple Developer Program as of today will be eligible to register for the conference, and registration will close on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.

Apple will also once again be offering WWDC Student Scholarships, providing eligible students with the a complimentary ticket and lodging at the conference. Scholarship applicants must be enrolled in an accredited course of study or be a member of a STEM organization, and will be required to individually build an interactive scene in a Swift playground that can be experienced within three minutes. Applications will be judged on technical accomplishment, creativity of ideas, and content of written responses.
Apple will begin accepting submissions for scholarships on Monday, March 26, 2018, and the closing date will be April 1, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. PDT.
