Apple has launched its annual Back to School promotion, through which it offers college students and faculty or staff members at any grade level a free iPod with the purchase of select Macs at education pricing.
This year, the company is offering a free 8GB iPod touch—or a maximum rebate of $199 should the purchaser select another iPod model—with the purchase of a new MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac, or Mac Pro computer.
