During today’s event, Apple CEO Tim Cook and U2’s Bono jointly announced that Apple and U2 will be distributing the bands’ latest album, Songs of Innocence, to all 500 million iTunes customers, entirely free of charge. Cook noted that this is the largest album release of all time, with a simultaneous launch in 119 countries. Users should be able to find the new album in their iTunes Music library and also available on iTunes Radio and Beats Music. The new album will also be available exclusively with Apple through mid-October.
