Apple’s iPad accounted for over 72 percent of tablet sales in China in the second quarter of 2012, according to a new report. Citing data from China-based Analysys International, AppleInsider reports that Apple, with 72.66 percent of sales, was followed by Lenovo with 8.38 percent, Eben, with 3.63 percent, Samsung, with 3.59 percent, and Acer, with 3.27 percent. Overall, the firm estimates that 2.34 million tablets were sold during the period, giving Apple estimated sales of roughly 1.7 million units. Notably, Apple didn’t launch the third-generation iPad in China until July 20, after the second quarter had already ended.
