Apple will include Baidu as a default search option in iOS’ Safari browser, according to a new report. Citing informed sources, Chinese-language Sina Technology News (Translated Link) reports that the search engine will be introduced to iOS users in the Chinese market next month, as part of a partnership between Apple and Baidu.
Currently, Google is installed as the default search engine in iOS, with options for Yahoo and Bing. It is unclear whether Baidu search will arrive in a system software update, or if Apple will be able to enable support through other means.
