Apple has announced that it will report its results for the fourth fiscal quarter of 2011 on Tuesday, October 18. As usual, the release will be followed by a conference call to discuss the financial results, which will begin at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. iLounge will be providing coverage of the call. Depending on the timing, it is possible the call could serve as a platform for Apple to release launch period sales numbers for new iPhone models, assuming they are released prior to the call. In addition, it is also unclear whether Tim Cook will continue his previous appearances on the call given his new title of CEO, or whether Senior Vice President of Operations Jeff Williams will fill Cook’s prior role opposite CFO Peter Oppenheimer.
