Apple has once again released new (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition versions of its current iPhone models — in this case the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The new colours are similar to last year’s (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, although they of course feature the new glass back design and more interestingly this year Apple has also chosen to go with a black front bezel versus the white bezel used in last year’s models. The new versions are otherwise identical to the standard iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus models, essentially just adding a new color option to help bolster mid-season sales and continue Apple’s tradition of supporting the (RED) Global Fund in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Notably, the iPhone X has not received the (PRODUCT)RED treatment; Apple has instead released a new (PRODUCT)RED iPhone X Leather Folio, crafted from specially tanned and finished European leather, and featuring a darker and more muted red color. The special edition iPhone models will be available for pre-order beginning tomorrow and should start arriving in customers’ hands and appearing in retail stores in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, the U.K., and U.S. by this coming Friday, April 13.
Releases in other countries are expected to follow later in April and into early May. The new iPhone X leather folio will be priced at $99 and available tomorrow both online and in Apple retail stores.
