Apple has won a preliminary injunction against the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in U.S. District Court.
Foss Patents reports that Judge Lucy Koh entered the injunction at the close of business yesterday; Samsung has since filed a notice of appeal. The ruling is based on an iPad design patent, and states that “the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is ‘virtually indistinguishable’ from Apple’s iPad and iPad 2”.
The injunction will go into effect as soon as Apple posts a $2.6 million bond.
