Citing people familiar with the matter, the Wall Street Journal reports that Apple is working on new technology to deliver video to televisions, and has also been discussing whether to try to launch a subscription TV service. While it fails to offer any more specific information, the report as a whole takes a look at the broader challenge facing new Apple CEO Tim Cook as he tries to negotiate deals with new media partners in the video and publishing fields, an area where his predecessor Steve Jobs was highly proficient.
