Apple appears to be building up its cast for its upcoming Ronald D. Moore sci-fi drama, Variety reports, with the addition of Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, and Sarah Jones to the roster.
Apple reportedly placed the order for the new series late last year, which is set in a world where the global space race never ended, and considering Ron Moore’s extensive sci-fi experience with shows ranging from Star Trek to Battlestar Galactica, the new series is expected to be one of the company’s flagship productions.
Joel Kinnaman, who is known for “Suicide Squad” along with network shows such as “House of Cards” and “The Killing” along with the Netflix series “Altered Carbon” and the Amazon series “Hanna” will be playing Edward Baldwin, one of the top NASA astronauts, Michael Dorman and Sarah Jones have been cast as Gordo and Tracy Stevens, a prominent NASA couple.
Dorman is currently starring in the Amazon series “Patriot” and previously starred in the Australian shows “Wonderland” and “The Secret Life of Us” along with the film “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” Jones is known for her roles in the Western drama “Damnation” and the “LA Confidential” pilot earlier this year.
