Reporting its second quarter financial results, AT&T has revealed that it activated 3.6 million iPhones during the quarter. According to the company, 24 percent of iPhone subscribers were new to AT&T, while iPhone subscriber churn was down slightly sequentially. In addition, it revealed that it added 377,000 tablet subscribers during the quarter, of which most were postpaid; it did not specify how many of those were iPads.
