Deutsche Telekom is as of today offering reservations for the iPhone 5. Citing company spokesman Alexander von Schmettow, Bloomberg reports that the reservations are being taken in anticipation of supply shortages for the device. Notably, the operator is handing out “coupons” to customers who request the successor model to the iPhone 4, without providing the name or release details of the device. Notably, the report does not state specific countries in which Deutsche Telekom is accepting reservations; it operates in the wireless space under its T-Mobile brand in Europe, the United States, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
