and our president (Masao) Nakamura held a meeting,” an NTT DoCoMo spokesman said, declining to reveal the timing or content of the discussions. Citing unnamed sources, Japanese news agency Kyodo News reported that Apple sees DoCoMo as its top choice in the region; however, the carrier may be opposed to Apple’s demands for a share of subscriber revenue.
Earlier this week it was reported that Apple is in talks with both DoCoMo and Softbank Mobile, a DoCoMo rival, to carry the iPhone in Japan.
