The first iOS 12.1 beta appears to have already added support for the Dual SIM features promised for the 2018 iPhones, 9to5Mac reports, although beta users will naturally still need to wait for the carriers to make the service available — something that likely won’t happen at least until iOS 12.1 is released to the public.
Apple originally announced that the new iPhones would support Dual-SIM technology when it debuted the new models earlier this month, although a later support document revealed that the feature wouldn’t be coming until a future iOS version.
While the appearance of support for the Dual SIM feature in the iOS 12.1 beta is not a guarantee that it will still be included in the final iOS 12.1 release — Apple has previously pulled beta features before the final release — it does seem likely that it will arrive with iOS 12.1, although it’s less clear whether all of the listed carriers will be ready to go.
